How come no greenhouse effect causes low temp but no ozone layer causes high temp?

Okay so I read that if the greenhouse effect did not exsist the earths temperature would be like -32*C... because the greenhouse gases that reflect energy back to the earth wouldn't reflect anything.. but then if there had no Ozone Layer we would all burn from the UV rays leading to high temperature for Earth.. the ozone layer protects us from heat.. I get the Ozone Layer part but i dont understand why if there was no greenhouse effect it would be freezing.. where would all the heat go and why would there be less of it? Hope I made sense :/ i just confused myself...
