I am CA resident. If I form a LLC in Mo to manage my rental properties, do I have to register my LLC in CA?

I am CA resident. I have two rental properties in MO. To avoid any possible liabilities, I am considering to form a LLC to manage my rentals. Do I have to register my LLC in CA for tax purposes? I don't have any rentals in CA though.
