What should i do with a Mascot in armor?

Hi, I am the school mascot and we never had one before so i volunteered. I've noticed all other mascots are really easy to move in and this mascot it like real armor, impossible to run in so you can only walk and the vision is limited. I dance when the band plays but they don't play teh entire time and i want to move around and do something during the game what should i do? BTW i have looked at youtube and they don't have anything for someone in armor.
