My Tobisha Satelite laptop will not turn on. It's not the chord and it's not the battery, any ideas?

When I press the power on the battery light flashes, however I tried getting a new battery and it still won't work. Also, the people at Geek Squad told me it definitely was not my chord. The laptop is only about a year and a half old and I really need it to last me another semester if possible because I'm a poor college student. I'm really computer illiterate so if anyone knows what it could be, please drop me a line....hopefully it won't be too complicated or costly to fix!
